Message in a Bottle
Many years ago, Christian Spohr was one of the founders of Message in a Bottle: a group that waved the revolutionary flag high even among Germany’s young winemaker groups. His generation has since grown up, but not outgrown its innovative roots. In many cases, new cooperations have been forged.
Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen
Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen is dedicated to the three-tier quality pyramid of Gutswein, Ortswein, and Lagenwein. Many of the estates that consistently follow this quality model have emerged as leaders in Rheinhessen, including Weingut Spohr. Their goal is to sharpen Rheinhessen’s profile and to offer a tangible classification system for wine quality. We’re all in!
