Our three-tier quality pyramid provides a clear and easy way to find the right wine for any occasion. Each Spohr wine is classified based on where its grapes were grown. Spohr Lagenwein<\/strong> (single site) sits at the apex. They grow in vineyards of incomparable historical, geological, and climatic excellence.<\/p>\n

Spohr Ortswein<\/strong> (village) grows in the estate’s finest vineyards. The terroir encompasses the soil and microclimate, the vintner’s vision, toil, and passion \u2013 every element plays a decisive role.<\/p>\n

Spohr\u00b4s Gutswein<\/strong> (estate) serves as our calling card. Wines of exceptional value and quality, always a pleasure whether enjoyed with food or simply solo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Single Site Lagenwein<\/h2>\n

Premium wines from outstanding vineyard sites<\/span><\/h3>\n

Our single site wines are routinely the finest in a given vintage: authentic, expressive and complex.<\/p>\n

The top of the Spohr portfolio includes wines from the historic Lieb\u00adfrauen\u00adstift-Kirchen\u00adst\u00fcck in Worms \u2013 for centuries a revered wine growing site. Our premium Ries\u00adlings hail from Abenheim, in vineyards around the chapel on the Klausen\u00adberg, as well as the Becht\u00adheimer Rosen\u00adgarten. Becht\u00adheim is also home to our Sp\u00e4t\u00adbur\u00adgunder vines on the well-known Geyers\u00adberg site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ortswein (Village)<\/h2>\n

Wines shaped by terroir<\/span><\/h3>\n

Our village wines are produced from selective harvests of our finest vineyard sites in Abenheim, Ost\u00adhofen, and Becht\u00adheim.<\/p>\n

They give liquid insights into our philosophy of place. Our Aben\u00adheimer range: a powerful Grau\u00adburgun\u00adder (aged in oak); a mature, thrilling Sauvignon Blanc; and a Sp\u00e4t\u00adburgun\u00adder of excellent typicity, matured for at least one year in oak. Our Becht\u00adheimer: an elegant and mineral-rich Ries\u00adling that is a joyous companion to any meal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Estate wines<\/h2>\n

Simple, never simplistic<\/span><\/h3>\n

Estate wines promise relaxed enjoyment: every day, to fit your mood and merriment.<\/p>\n

The Wonnegau, our beloved stretch of southern Rheinhessen, is known for its deep and calcareous loess soils. It is also the cradle of our estate wines: juicy and refreshing white varieties such as Grau\u00adburgun\u00adder, Ries\u00adling, Wei\u00df\u00adburgun\u00adder, and Char\u00addonnay, fruity and delicious ros\u00e9s from Sp\u00e4t\u00adburgunder and Portu\u00adgieser, and appealing and approachable reds such as Schwarz\u00adriesling, Dorn\u00adfelder, Lem\u00adberger, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Blends<\/h2>\n

Our blends are a perfect treat for those days when you fancy the best of all worlds.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Blends have long been a major passion for the Spohrs \u2013 from our fresh secco named Bajazzo to delicious ros\u00e9s, our Sagen\u00adhaft fein\u00adherb blend, and a Blanc de Noir dry and Pinot Sekt Brut.<\/p>\n

Our red master\u00adpieces \u2013 Wild\u00adwechsel Rotwein dry, the Nibe\u00adlungen\u00adcuv\u00e9e, and our Reserv\u00e9\u00adwein Cuv\u00e9e CS each join together the best of different varieties.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
